On Meta’s side

Create a Meta developer account and a business app with the WhatsApp use case. Add your business phone number, which must not be logged in to the WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business phone app. Copy its Phone Number ID and the WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) ID.

Create a system user, give it full control of the WhatsApp account and generate a token that never expires, with the WhatsApp management and messaging permissions.

In ClickCard

Open WhatsApp Accounts and paste the Phone Number ID, WABA ID and token. ClickCard asks Meta whether they work and fills in your business name and number.

The webhook

In your Meta app’s WhatsApp configuration, paste the callback URL and verify token that ClickCard shows, verify it and subscribe to messages. Put the app in Live mode, or real customer messages will not arrive.

Test

Message your number from another phone. The chat should appear in the WhatsApp Inbox within seconds, and the number’s status in ClickCard shows each step as done.
